Love in a Bracelet
Love in a Bracelet

I am donating a portion of my profits from website sales to “Love in a Bracelet”. I developed this program in memory of my former fiance, Scott Unger, and witnessing firsthand the power of support that he received from others. Scott was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at the age of 26. This was a particularly cruel twist of fate. He had already survived a horrific car accident and three weeks in a coma, several months of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, and was struck by lightning, only to be diagnosed with cancer a couple years later at such a young age, just three months into our engagement. If anyone could beat cancer, it was Scott. He fought valiantly for seven months. His motto in life was, “There is no “I” in “T-E-A-M”, and this was particularly true during his fight for his life. Every friend, family member, doctor, and nurse was a member of his team.

Having a team and knowing that others were supporting him made a huge positive impact on him during his treatment. I want to carry that on by providing bracelets of hope and inspiration, for anyone who might need some support, adult or child. Some of these bracelets go to children in treatment for cancer. Others go to children who are in treatment for substance use problems. Some are made by children, and some are made by me. A request can be made to send a bracelet of support to anyone who may benefit. When ordering, under “order notes” at check out, just include the name of that person, male or female, size of bracelet, message you would like on the card, and address for me to send it to. If you do not have anyone in mind, then money will be set aside from the sale to go toward the program. “Love in a Bracelet”.
